A CHIPINGE man was arrested over the weekend for breaking into a house and robbing a couple of ZWR$3 000 at knife point.

Aaron Danger (26), from Mahachi village in Checheche, Chipinge, was arrested following a tip-off.

His accomplices and brothers, Prosper (23), Givemore (21) and Charles (age not mentioned) are still at large.

Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakokwa confirmed the incident yesterday.

Kakokwa said on April 5, around midnight, the four accused persons broke into a house in Checheche and reportedly demanded money from Michael Mtisi (36) and Privilege Simango (25).

Mtisi and Simango told the robbers that they did not have money.

The brothers started assaulting the couple and threatened to kill them. They searched the house and made off with ZWR$3 000.

Later, Mtisi sought help from neighbours, who made a police report leading to Aaron’s arrest.
