Chief Bepura, born Kenneth Sailas Bepura, died at his homestead on Sunday around 2am after a short illness.

Mashonaland Central provincial administrator Cosmas Chiringa confirmed the death.

“We are saddened with the passing on of one of the long-serving chiefs in Mashonaland Central and his untimely death has left a big void after being appointed in 2006,” Chiringa said.

“We are still waiting for the family to furnish us with burial arrangements.”

He is survived by his wife, eight children and 15 grandchildren.
