Festival director Walter Wanyanya told NewsDay Life & Style yesterday that it was all systems go for the one-day event likely to attract significant regional interest, with the performing artistes promising fireworks.

“We are really ready now, the Jacaranda Music Festival is here, everything is in place we are just now waiting for Saturday as the artistes are also very excited, Yvonne is super excited to be coming home and so is Mi Casa,” he said.

“The guys that are doing all the set up for sound are already on site doing that, by Friday morning we should be done setting up the sound and everything will be in place as we get ready to be celebrating life.”

Wanyanya said the festival seeks to bring different genres on one stage, creating a vibrant environment for music lovers in Zimbabwe to enjoy good live music.

The Neria hitmaker will then hand over the microphone to Mi Casa at 10:30pm with The Movement shutting down the concert after the Mzansi group’s performance.
