I have a solution: Chamisa

MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has said he has the solutions to the country’s deepening economic crisis that has seen the shortages of fuel emerging and prices of commodities skyrocket since last week.

BY KENNETH NYANGANI

Addressing mourners at the burial of Casper Tsvangirai, younger brother of the late MDC founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai, in Buhera yesterday, Chamisa said President Emmerson Mnangagwa was unable to resolve the country’s economic challenges because of the curse of illegitimacy stalking his government after rigging the July 30 polls.

MDC officials who attended the funeral told NewsDay that Chamisa said Mnangagwa’s refusal to hand over power to him was the reason why the economy was in a tailspin.

“Our president (Chamisa) was clear that he has the solutions to solve the economic crisis in the country. He said Zanu PF can rig the elections, but it cannot rig the economy,” MDC chairperson for Manicaland David Chimhini said.

“The president is happy with the support he got during elections, but we know that it was massively rigged.”

Chamisa reportedly skirted the issue of Mnangagwa’s offer to make him an official leader of the opposition, insisting he beat his political nemesis and deserved a chance at State House.

“The president said he did not want to turn the funeral wake into a rally, but wanted to show support to the Tsvangirai family which was well-attended,” explained Chimhini.

The burial was attended by the MDC Alliance officials who included Douglas Mwonzora, youth chairperson Happymore Chidziva and national organising secretary Amos Chibaya, among others.

  1. Comment…Ndohumbowo mayererano nemufi here ihwohwo? Dzidzayi kuita humbowo pandufu imi.

  2. What solution can this boy proffer really? He failed the simplest of tests in his abilities by dismally failing to convince the world that there was any legitimacy in his claims to have won the elections or that there had been any rigging. After failing in a simple open and shut court case and exposing himself, the boy thinks he can wave some magic wand to solve deep seated structural issues bedeviling this complex economy? Lord have mercy!

    1. ur saying nothing in many words, let them just give him time to prove himself don’t just criticize.

      1. Why give time to a failure? time to rule is given in the ballot box. He cld be a good president in a wrong party. His party is not wanted period thats why the party garnered a paltry 63 parliamentary seats country wide. its a shame. Ngaangovukura ariko kwaari ikoko. Thats his perfect position- opposition leader. he will be remembered for that. Dzungu haripinze mustate house. never.

      2. He knows nothing pertaining to the economy and politics ngaaende kukindergarten

    2. Now old brain old Sikhosana, you can call him boy or toddler but that’s not gonna sanitize filthy crooks. By the way and on a lighter note, just look at the physical stature of the this handsome boy as potrayed by the picture and be reminded of the natural social science law that: You can never win a quarel against a short man – Hitler was short, Mussolini was short,Zambia’s Frederick Chiluba was very short, David vs Golliath, Yitzak Shamir of modern day Israel was very very short, Mwenye and Mkapa of Tanzania were short and Mugabe and Chamisa are short.

  3. mukovhe wa tshilidzi

  4. The man deserves a chance to prove himself, lets not just criticise for the sake of criticism.Legally a boy ceases to be a boy after attaining the age of majority,18 years,so how can someone call a person who is 40 years a boy??nxaaaa!!

Chamisa boy will never get tired of waffling I wonder why? Ed has not failed anything! The failure is just in the imagination of those who lost elections so dismally because they could only campaign based on imaginary 15 billion dollars from Us which Donald Trump denied though. The leaders in the mould of Ed is the kind of a president which Zimbabwe should have had a long time ago and if the Tsolotsho saga is anything to go by, I wish it had gone through then. Here is a newly elected head of state who visits the Rbz to acertain for himself the monitary position of the nation first hand. He appoints an experienced technocrat as minister of finance who also demmstrates right away that he is up to the task by identifying fiscal inbalances and tackle them right away without hesitation. This is a realistic way of solving problems in our economy even though it may not have imediate results. Brick upon brick, dombo pamusoro pedombo , gradualy we will succed in rebulding Zimbabwe. Forget about bucketloads of cash.

    1. rebuilding zim that iyee ED has helped Mugabe in destroying inga u sopeak nothing but trash nhaiwe……apa u say”Ed has not failed anything!” aaaah inzwaiwo izvi

  10. The war between Mdc and Zanu continues to destroy this country.

    1. It’s a war by ZanuPF against the people(stupid fish against the water) that’s destroying the economy bambo tyz

  11. chamisa the chosen leader of zimbabwe… ED will not last 2 years….mark my words…..batai manzwi angu

  12. Tell us the solutions, haikona kungotivhundisira uchiti you have the solutions. Its Zimbabwe that benefits not an individual.

    1. shandai ne enyu masolutions hantie munozvigona here. its his secret siyanayi nemwana uyo

    2. Masolutions amakapiwa peacefully in the last 38 years makaitei.

  13. just give us the solutions, unless you are enjoying watching the people suffer!!!

    1. The solution that the thick headed can’t get through their skulls is that for Zimbabwe to progress to higher level it has to proceed without the gunslinger gangsters at the helm. Madofo ngaabve ndoosolution.

  14. there are two types of ZANU PF supporters, Looters and fools. To check which one you are you just check your bank balance.

    1. Tawanda ,same applies with MDC supporters,Donor funds beneficiaries and fools. To check which one you are just your bank balance

  15. Comment…ticha kaura nhamo ya2008 navanayo

  16. Love him or hate him but everyone knows Tendai Biti won’t waste time talking nonsense policies & struggling to fix this mess, in the GNU he literally took days to get things going

  17. 1. I was promised $15 billion by Trump
    2. I helped Kagame develop ICT policy for Rwanda
    3. I have got V11 forms to prove that the election was stolen
    4. I have solutions to the country’s economic problems

    Wonder whats coming next

    1. Whatever people might say here, the truth is Zanu PF has failed again just like what they did before under Mugabe and they have failed again in the old new dispensation. It is only fools who listen on ZBC being brain washed daily who still thinks that Zimbabwe is still in a normal state. they squandered millions in buying double cabs for chiefs bt they said can we contribute to afund against cholera. I dont think kune munhu anofunga anoramba achisupoter zvakadai unless you are a fool or looter. Thts why before new dispensation mazanu makita a million match to sympathise with Mugabe and during his removal you go a million number again to show your highest level of confusion.

      1. If he has solutions let him demonstrate in urban councils where he is in charge not promising people pies in the air after losing election and a constitutional court case. On what basis does he think he can get the mandate to be president after losing elections and a court case. Why do we always want to pursue unconstitutional means after losing elections? Allow ED to mess up and lose election next time not to hoodwink us with promises dzema prosperity gospel prophets pano

  18. yes we can deliberate much on this pressing political issue and the worsening economic instability of Zimbabwe, but what i know is that time will tell…

  27. Yes we can say ED has a solution but my question is, was he not a master minder in the Magube regime? If ED has solutions why did he not implement them for the past 38 years when they were in power. This dispensation is the worst ever in the history of this country. How can you tax so exorbitant taxes to your own people to cover up for your mistakes and yet their children are importing cars for millions. These guys are clueless. We need production in this country. How can zimbabwe import wheat yet we have vast water bodies for irrigation. Farms are left idle but we have the capacity to produce wheat which is double our consumption per year.Zimbabwe just needs fresh minds not tired minds.

  28. Chamisa??? Ndiye uya wekumboti kuvanhu vake, he has put in place an anti-rigging mechanism. But went on to claim to claim that he was rigged. He claimed that he had the evidence to prove that. Went to court> Live on TV. No evidence!!! Now he is claiming that he has the solution??? Some people still believe him? Cry my beloved Zimbabwe. Highest literacy rate in Africa but her people are illiterate.

  29. Nhaimi veopposition, seiko makadhakwa zvakadaro? I think you need some time to sober up. Chamisa wacho anombova neiko chacho chamakambopiwao na Nelson? 15 billion dollars from Donald Trump!? How much do you know about the world’s economic and political’s current affairs? Right now the USA is realing under a 21 trillion dollar debt which is increasing by some 50 million dollars every second and about seven trillion of which is owed externaly and you expect Nelson To get a grant from such an amazingly huge ponzi shceem which can collpse any time?! Anenge ambosevenzera America basa reiko iye Nero? My prayer is that the young politician is not gay.

  30. Comment…Economic Sabotage kuti muti ED has failed.Kunyepa kwenyu.ED is solid as a rock.

  31. vanhu vakaondonga economy ndivo varipo nanhasi. They will never fix it. Bvumaiwo kukanganisa kwenyu. Ndasvotwa Ndasvotwa

  32. ED and his team are trying to make things work. I would never bank on Chamisa the boy is an immature leader. What kind of a leader allows his people to suffer claiming he has solutions and keeps them to himself. Poor MDC supporters fighting for Neros bread on the table thats all he is after. He will bluff at any cost just so he gets in power. Ngaagare nemasolution ake ikoko. Soon we will be on track and it will be sad that he had his solutions in his pocket and was not joining hands with the current gvt to come up with solutions.

  33. Yes, the solution is simply for chamisa to abandon this Kenyan way of arm twisting Zimbabweans by hitting our pockets. Let’s be mature and patriotic. This strategy was brought in from Kenya and is what the opposition in that country used to force the ruling party to accept the formation of GNU.

  34. Guys there is one annoying thing happening here that all pple are not seeing or im observing even at funerals these guys are still campaigning… my question is for wat Zim has president he gets off that position only if he dies or he is recalled by his party…. the button is with Zanu and we just have to follow crying. If Chamisa has solutions why keep saying it and no action.. we have had enough he said he had evidence and we marched and supported him only to say to the court there is nothing we understand the numbers were changed.. whats your evidence for that none produced. Now at funeral he talks about politics… time is ticking he will get it one of these days….

  35. Ed will not solve anything no one is going to lend money to this country. THAT IS THE REALITY.
