Blasta

Blasta, who has been doing music professionally for close to three years, has done collaborations and shared the stage with eminent artistes and one of the high points in his music career was his performance at the Zim Hip-hop Awards in 2016.

“I have been in the industry for a short time, but I have made a great impact as compared to my compatriots,” he said, adding that his several collaborations had done well.

Blasta said the new track, as well as a number of singles and videos he has lined up from his forthcoming album, will likely seal his fate as a musician to watch out for.

“The music industry is very complicated as compared to other fields; you get critics and some develop your craft, whilst others come in bad taste. The industry is full of people who don’t appreciate those who are doing well. You get naysayers from artistes and also from fans who consume your music,” he said, adding that some tracks on the new album speak to that reality.
