South African rapper Nasty C will tomorrow headline the Change a Life Concert at Wingate Golf Course in Harare. The Mzansi star will share the stage with Winky D, Jah Prayzah, Sam Dondo, Ammara Brown, ExQ, and upcoming hip-hop star Ngoni Dondo, aka King 98, alongside wheel spinners DJ Silence Nosh, DTL Records and The Family 263. Proceeds from the concert will go towards the Alfred Dondo Foundation (ADF) — a charity organisation that looks after 98 orphans in Chivhu. The foundation, founded two years ago, is the brainchild of local businessperson Thompson Dondo.

Theatre in the Park

South Africa–based gospel musician Tsitsi Kudita will tomorrow stage her debut concert in Zimbabwe dubbed In His Presence Zimfest in company with Tsitsi. The gig will happen at Theatre in the Park in Harare Gardens. She will share the stage with various other gospel artistes, among them Olinda Marowa, Pastor G, Godfrey Kudita, Psalmist Josh Kays, Ellard Cherai, Patience Mandizha, Brian Kudita, Tekina and Sebastian Magacha.

Rhumba and dendera fans are in for a treat tonight as dendera ace Sulumani Chimbetu, backed by his Dendera Kings, share the stage with celebrated Congolese rhumba outfit Diamond Musica at Food Nest Restaurant at Longcheng Plaza Mall in Harare.

The Red Café

Afro-jazz sensation Mbeu, backed by his Mhodzi Tribe band, tonight entertains revellers at The Red Café along Harare Street in the capital. The opening of Red Café has brought a sigh of relief to many artistes as it has become a hub for creative arts, proffering unearthed and untapped talent with the platform to showcase their artistic potentials. Gospel hip-hop rapper Mudiwa Hood will on Sunday entertain fans at a celebration of car culture, music and lifestyle dubbed Blow Out at Borrowdale Race Course in Harare. Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure will be guest at the event.

Africa Alliance Records

Africa Alliance Records will tomorrow host the Winter Shut Down Block Party featuring an array of hip-hop and dancehall artistes alongside wheel spinners who will take turns to rock it on the turntables in celebration of their fifth anniversary in Crowborough North, Harare.

Gumbo Restaurant &Night Club

Sungura ace Alick Macheso will this weekend bid farewell to his fans ahead of his South African tour, where he is billed to perfom in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Durban. He starts his shows tonight in Raffingora with a performance at Gumbo Restaurant & Night Club. Tomorrow, he travels to Mutoko to entertain fans at Madzeka Night Club before wrapping his performance with a show at Club Las Vegas in Southerton, Harare.

Farai Beerhall

The stage is set for the Chibuku Road to Fame Masvingo provincial competitions, where several groups will battle for honours at Farai Beerhall in Mucheke to book the sole ticket to represent the province at the national finals, which will feature champions from the country’s 10 provinces, on September 29 at Glamis Arena in Harare. Chibuku Road to Fame music talent showcase is one of the longest running grassroots talent identification initiatives in the country, sponsored by beverages manufacturers Delta Beverages, through their Chibuku brand, in partnership with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.

Harvest House International Church will on Sunday host this year’s edition of the Clash of the Hub choirs at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Hall 4 in Bulawayo. South Africa’s celebrated gospel singer Dr Tumi will be on the panel of the choral competition’s judges.

Bulawayo’s dazzling all-female ensemble Nobuntu tomorrow hosts a charity concert themed Nobuntu Pad Bank at National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo aimed at building pad banks at youth centres in the city that is meant to help female artistes doing rehearsals.

Comedy lovers will be in for a treat tomorrow when National Arts Merit Award winning comedian Mandla Simbarashe Mathe, popularly known as Mandla Da Comedian, stages his debut one-man show, dubbed Am I dreaming, at Bulawayo Theatre. The comedian rose to fame from imitating former President Robert Mugabe’s voice and taking on political issues in some of his scripts.

Cosmopolitan Night Club

Cosmopolitan Night Club in Bulawayo tonight presents Pure White Girls Night Out White Party. Tomorrow the joint will host The Royal Affair Night meant to celebrate Bulawayo’s biggest socialites, with Djs Mzoe, Kananjo and Keezy rocking it on the turntables.
