Georgias (64), who once appeared before magistrate Josephine Sande over similar allegations will stand trial for locking the house being leased by Kuwana.

Allegations are that on a date unknown to the prosecutor, but in January, Georgias locked the doors of her Glen Lorne house and main gate, saying she would only unlock the doors after Kuwana had paid her rental arrears for November and December last year.

It is alleged Kuwana went to live with her sister in Greendale.

On February 28 this year, Georgias allegedly gave Kuwana keys to the screen door, but withheld the gate keys to prevent her from driving her vehicle into the premises.

The State alleges on the same day, Georgias again locked the doors and chased Kuwana’s sister off the premises. Kuwana allegedly went to report Georgias at the Rent Board on March 1. The board ordered the landlady to return the keys to the complainant, but she refused.

Kuwana then proceeded to report the matter to the police who summoned Georgias, but she refused to hand over the keys to the complainant, leading to her arrest.
