The duo was convicted by Guruve resident magistrate yesterday.

Edward Bvure (30) and George Makombe (30) were sentenced on their own plea of guilty to charges of unlawful entry and theft when they appeared before resident magistrate Shingirai Mutiro.

Prosecutor Spiwe Makarichi told the court that on February 26 this year, the duo broke into the Zanu PF offices and stole goods worth $270 which include cell registers, a vehicle starter motor, blankets, a CD bag, 50kg bag of wheat and a mosquito net.

The matter came to light when they sold the stolen wheat at a local grinding mill and the complainant, Stewart Simion (42), identified the empty bag at the grinding mill, leading to the duo’s arrest.
