Edward Bvure (30) and George Makombe (30) denied the charges when they appeared before Guruve resident magistrate, Shingirai Mutiro, who remanded them to yesterday, before the matter was further deferred, after Makombe collapsed while giving evidence.

The State alleges that the two unlawfully entered Zanu PF’s Mbire district offices and stole goods worth $276, which included cell registers, a vehicle starter motor, blankets, a CD bag, 50kg bag of wheat and a mosquito net.

The matter came to light when the accused allegedly sold the stolen wheat at a local grinding mill and the complainant, Stewart Simon (42) identified the empty bag at the grinding mill, leading to the duo’s arrest.
