Dalton Simbarashe Nyamadzawo (30) from Harare appeared before magistrate Nyasha Kuture on Saturday and was remanded out of custody to March 23 on $100 bail.

The accused person used his position as the territory manager to demand $11 148 from Total service stations caretakers in Manicaland.

The accused person received some of the money through his EcoCash account and the court was told that the records will be produced in court as proof of transactions.

Prosecutor Fletcher Karombe told the court that there is a print-out of messages sent by the accused person to the one caretakers in Rusape demanding money from him. Nothing was recovered.
