Nyagura, through his lawyer, Lewis Uriri, told Harare magistrate, Tilda Mazhande that the investigating officer in the matter had since filed an application for a new search warrant for his UZ offices, which clearly showed there was no reasonable grounds to arrest him in the first place.

But prosecutor, Michael Reza insisted that Nyagura should stand trial, saying the new search warrant requested by the investigating officer was meant to facilitate production of a charge sheet.

Mazhande will deliver ruling on the application on Thursday.
