Murowe, who represented the country together with Jacob Mugomeri at the prestigious event came 72 out of 339 in the female category, while Mugomeri was 96 out 176 in the male category.

In an interview with NewsDaySport from Spain, Murowe said he has set his sight on Two Oceans Half Marathon slated for South Africa this week.

“I did well since it was my first time to compete in stiff competition like that, I was number 72 out 339 super star ladies. The important thing is that I also gained the much needed experience,’’ she said.

“I think I need sponsorship for motivation and exposure , as athletes we need to participate at various races, but we don’t have exposure. At the moment, I am hoping to compete at the Two Oceans race in South Africa this week.”

Mugomeri said he was hoping to participate at that level of competition to help improve his confidence.
