“Easy Cover is mobile insurance package providing convenient legal and house insurance for NetOne subscribers with a click of a button in the comfort of their homes. The Easy Cover provides highly affordable house and legal insurance policies, where clients can easily access cover from as low as $1,50 per month payable through the One Money platform,” he said.

Kahiya added that the product demystified the myth that insurance is for the well-to-do, as now the marginalised can now afford to insure their property and get legal representation in civil, criminal, labour and criminal cases.

“From as little as $1,50 per month, one gets legal protection for labour, civil and criminal cases and this cover does not have a waiting period. All proud home owners can now insure their houses by a simple click of the button,” Kahiya said.

Champions Insurance managing director, Tambudzai Madzivire, said: “We have simply embraced technology through this strategic partnership in order to bring convenience to our beloved customers.

“We are starting off with house and legal aid insurance policies; however, we are also working on bringing other consumer lines products on to the Easy Cover platform.” The mobile insurance cover has no waiting period, before subscribers can start enjoying its benefits.
