The accused, Carlington Kudambo (37) who has three dockets of domestic violence, theft of trust property and possession of 72 kilogrammes of dagga, yesterday appeared before three different magistrates and was remanded to April 4 for trial.

Kudambo, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges was granted $50 bail on a domestic violence matter by Harare magistrate Tracy Muzondo.

He later appeared before magistrate Josephine Sande charged with possession of 72 kilogrammes of dagga and was denied bail.

Allegations are that on March 25 this year, Kudambo and his wives, Mada Matarutse and Linda Ncube had a misunderstanding after he found one of them drunk.

Kudambo allegedly chased both of them out of the matrimonial house, and the duo reported the matter to the police.

They also told the police their husband stole a client’s motor vehicle gearbox and kept several bags of dagga stashed in the ceiling.

Police allegedly searched Kudambo’s residence and recovered 72,865 kilogrammes of dagga.

Kudambo was also charged for stealing Lloyd Nteletsha’s Isuzu gearbox worth $450.
