Pictures: Govt reverses CBD kombi ban

THE government yesterday reversed Harare City Council’s “hurried” ban on commuter omnibuses entering the central business district (CBD), citing inadequate consultation with key stakeholders, and following violent protests by the commuting public.

  1. That picture shows how idiotic people in authority are, see that gogo and tell me the council was thinking when they banned kombis. They know they own kombis that is why they fail to control them. Mushikashika happens right in front of council offices because they approve of it. If they maintain kombis using designated points we won’t have problems. Their security can be stationed at flush points rather than try to ambush the kombis, this will cause them to speed away. They must never be allowed to stop at these mushikashika pick up points in the first place.
