Police in Mashonaland East province confirmed the accident, but declined to shed more details, referring all questions to their bosses in Harare.

According to sources, the Harare-bound vehicle burst its left rear tyre near Bromley, veered off the road and overturned.

Four people died on the spot, while the injured were ferried to Marondera Provincial Hospital by well-wishers, where one person died on admission.

Marondera traffic police attended the scene and conveyed the bodies of the deceased to the Marondera Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

The accident followed a head-on collision that occurred last week killing six people near Macheke.

  1. UMM SATAN IS AT WORK, LETS ALL PRAY AND SAY DEVIL IS A LIAR

  2. Risk Manager. It is more risky to blame the devil on cause of accidents that are very avoidable than to point out who the culprits are. That vehicle was probably overloaded and those tyres probably in terrible condition too. For a car to overturn after bursting a rear wheel suggests speeding. These are all human factors that sadly caused loss of precious lives. Blaming everyone else including devils instead of sorting out our issues is recipe for disaster.

    1. By the way Satan at times takes advantage of disobedience. Look at Adam and Eve, they were told by God not to eat of the fruit of good and bad but they went on to disobey God and the result was death to all of us.

  3. may their souls rest in peace
