Mupasiri was shown the exit door in 2016, after he was deemed excess baggage at Dynamos by coach Lloyd Mutasa, but he had a decent season with Shabanie whom he helped escape relegation..

Despite having been dismissed from the club, the 25-year-old admits his mind was still with the former champions and wants to return “home”.

In an interview with the NewsDay Sport, Mupasiri said his future at Shabanie is not certain and has pinned hopes for another stint at Dynamos.

“Honestly speaking, Dynamos is home for me, and if an offer from the club comes my way, I will definitely consider it,” Mupasiri said. “My future at Shabanie is not yet certain and I have not received any favourable offers from anywhere else. I have a heart for Dynamos, I miss being part of them but I have to be content with what I have at this stage because every game I played at Shabanie helped to make my career better than what I was before.”

While he is open to a return to Dynamos he admits that unlimited game time at Shabanie helped him improve his game.

“I cannot compare Shabanie Mine and Dynamos but I surely enjoyed every game I played for both teams. I want to continue working hard and get as far as I can with my career.”

Mupasiri had three goals to his name for Shabanie and was entrusted by Takesure Chiragwi with the captain’s armband.

The 25-year-old striker turned himself into the fans’ heartthrob at Shabanie.

Meanwhile, Shabanie Mine supporters have demanded the removal of the club’s excutive led by Elias Marufu over failure to steer the club in the right direction.

Marufu’s executive has been criticised for failing to lure sponsors to the club as players went for months without salary and winning bonuses.

Club treasurer Maxwell Nyashanu was nominated by the supporters to lead an interim executive for two weeks until the elections are held, but he turned down the offer.

Shabanie Mine media officer Wenston Wesley confirmed that the supporters called for the removal of the current executive.

“Supporters have resolved for the expulsion of the current club executive,” said Wesley. “They are saying the current executive was an interim so they have to pave way for a new, constitutionally-elected executive.
