Members demanded that she be fired alongside other G40 members after she was invited to welcome guests as the host province. The booing forced Moyo to intervene to control the situation.

“Harare province, you are the host. You will not help the situation if you behave in the manner you are doing,” Moyo shouted.

“You don’t behave like that in front of the President. You will embarrass yourself in front of the President.”

After Chikukwa’s address, acting secretary for administration Obert Mpofu said: “I am directed by the President. He said he does not entertain rowdiness. If you have frustrations, settle them at the province, this is a national congress.”
