Chidzambga worked with the two coaches, when he led the Warriors to their maiden Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2004.

The 65-year-old will be assisted by Gumbo and Dynamos coach, Lloyd Mutasa in the new set up, while Msiska has been roped in as a goalkeepers’ coach.

Their first assignment is the Christmas Challenge Cup between Zimbabwe and Zambia to be played in Harare on Saturday.

Chidzambga picked a 24-member squad of locally-based players that will go into camp on Wednesday.

Goalkeepers: Herbert Rusawo, Takabva Mawaya, Elvis Chipezeze

Defenders: Jimmy Dzingai, Kevin Moyo, Peter Muduwa, Dennis Dauda, Farai Madhanhanga, Praise Tonha, Difine Lunga, Qadr Amini

Midfielders: Gerald Takwara, Devon Chafa, Liberty Chakaroma, Never Tigere, Ali Sadiki, Ocean Mushure, Leeroy Mavunga, Clement Matawu, Rodwel Chinyengetere, Ismel Wadi

Strikers: Dominic Chungwa, Clive Augusto, John Zhuwawo
