Young Warriors coach Bekithemba Ndlovu will start assessing players at Barbourfields Stadium this morning, as he builds a squad for the Cosafa Under-20 Championships to be held in Zambia from December 6-16.

The trials failed to kick off on Monday after a few players turned up due to late communication to clubs, but Ndlovu is hopeful the players will pitch up this morning.
“I already have players in mind for the squad, but there are some others out there who need to be given a chance. It’s not trials as such, but players will just come for assessment tomorrow (today) at 11am. If a player is good you can identify them in just one session and I will be doing that then next week its serious business. My assistants (Mike Madzivanyika and Mark Mathe) will do the same in Harare before we come up with a final squad of 20 players,” Ndlovu said.
He said communication has been made to clubs in Bulawayo who have promised to avail their players and it is his wish to visit the country’s 10 provinces scouting for talent, but the time has limited them.
“There are some upcoming tournaments for the Under-20s and we will travel to other provinces, but for now time is not on our side,” he said.
The technical team will assess players this morning and have full training next week.
