THE Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) has been rocked with massive resignations, with 18 employees reportedly quitting among them former chief investigations officer, Servious Kufandada who left last week.

Kufandada is reportedly heading to the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (Zimdef) sending tongues wagging as Zacc was investigating Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo and his deputy Godfrey Gandawa over alleged pilfering of over $400 000 from Zimdef.
Kufandada, who was now acting Zacc legal manager, was reportedly set to be appointed Zimdef legal adviser.
“He (Kufandada) tendered his resignation on Friday. The move shocked everyone and the fact that he indicated in his resignation letter that he was leaving with immediate effect in lieu of his 83 leave days shows that whoever is going to employ him is ready to pay for the loss he has incurred by giving away those days,” NewsDay Weekender heard.
“The rumour within Zacc is that he is going to be appointed Zimdef legal adviser and that is as pear shaped as issues can be,” said an insider. Kufandada accused unnamed people of pursuing a personal agenda against him.
“It’s personal because one will raise questions as to why targeting me. I am not the only person to have resigned. There are 16 other people including eight Central Intelligence Organisation officers seconded to Zacc, five police officers and three other lawyers who have been haunted out of the organisation. You must find out why that has been so when the organisation actually requires more people,” Kufandada said.
Zacc executive secretary Silence Pondo confirmed Kufandada had tendered his resignation.

“I can confirm that he tendered his resignation, but that is all I can say for now,” Pondo said.
