Moreblessing Tarusenga allegedly killed James Mashwaya (29) after the two had a misunderstanding over extra-marital affairs.

Tarusenga, of Highlands suburb, Zvishavane, appeared before magistrate Archie Wochiunga facing murder charges.

Wochiunga remanded Tarusenga in custody to November 6.

Prosecutor Stanley Maponde told the court that on October 25 at around 11:30pm, the deceased arrived home and found his wife asleep.

A misunderstanding arose between the two, with the accused person blaming the deceased for having many girlfriends.

The couple engaged in a physical fight and Tarusenga allegedly stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors once on the left side of the neck.

The deceased staggered a few metres away from the house, before falling down dead on the spot.

Neighbours reported the matter to the police, who found the deceased lying in a pool of blood before they arrested the accused.
