Chiwenga yesterday warned that security forces and law enforcement agencies would be out in full force to ensure that law and order is observed and life, limb and property, secured.

“Acts of vengeful retribution or trying to settle personal scores will be dealt with severely,” he said.

Chiwenga called on all political parties and to exercise restraint.

“Zimbabweans across the political divide should exercise maximum restraint and observe law and order to the fullest.

“Our vaunted character and tradition as a peaceful and law-abiding nation must now show in practical terms through unconditional observance of the law,” he said.

The ZDF warned against abuse of social media to incite hate speech.
