Edwin Shorai Musa (24) was not asked to plead to fraud charges when he appeared before magistrate Josephine Sande. He was remanded to November 6 on $50 bail.

It is the State’s case that sometime between September 4 and October 24 this year, Musa and his alleged three accomplices, who are still at large, forged a Zanu PF donation document.

Armed with the document, the accused allegedly moved around different companies in the Msasa industrial area and misrepresented they were acting on behalf of Zanu PF, appealing for donations for a special congress slated for December.

The State alleges that so far only one complainant from M and G Engineering Company who paid $50 had come forward to report. Musa was arrested by his workmates after they discovered the alleged offence and handed him over to the police. Sebastian Mutizirwa appeared for the State.
