You’re divinely insulated

Opinion & Analysis
WE live in a world characterised by fear and anxiety. The uncertainty of many fundamentals instils panic. Many have lived to witness living standards plummeting to unprecedented low levels.

Some have pusillanimously closed their eyes because of the tremors of the possibility of economic collapse. In our beloved great nation, the chilling thought of a possible return of 2008 has struck fear in many, leaving them vulnerable and exposed. Lack of confidence and trust in central governance has resulted in panic buying and hoarding.

Fear of failure to provide for self and family has decimated the trust in the canopy of God’s grace. I write to solidify your unflinching trust in the protection of God the Father.

The recent disappearance of basic commodities and the attendant sharp increase in the prices of goods and services have shaken the foundation of our society, Christians included. One good that has come out of this is increase in time allotted to prayer for Zimbabwe at personal and denominational levels.

However, we should not pray for our beloved nation out of panic, fear and trepidation. We ought always to pray. Born again believers pray in confidence of the accomplished/finished works of Jesus.

The spirit of sonship (and “daughtership”) to God Abba Father inspires and motivates us to call unto God at rest and with peace of mind. We know, not guess, that our issues are a done deal. Isaiah 65:24 gives the correct standing: “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” We, therefore, pray with thanksgiving, fellowshipping with Him for our renewed minds to get to the same page with His.

Oftentimes naive believers suppose that God is not aware and they want to furnish Him with fresh news. God is seized with your issue, He is not sleeping on it. “3 He won’t let you stumble, your Guardian God won’t fall asleep. 4 Not on your life! Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep.” Psalm 121:3-4 (Message Bible). We pray to enforce His will in our domain and circumstances.

Matthew 6:10b is our anchor: “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Please remember that we are in the heavenlies and we pray that who we are and what we have in the spiritual realm materialises in this tangible world. We do not panic because we reign. Ephesians 2:6 confirms, “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Please relax, you will not be swept away.

Dear believer, you are covered and protected. You will not be devoured. The marauding vultures cannot snatch you from His grip. Jesus in John 10:29 assures: “My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” You are safe and secured.

Please understand that you are flowing in abundant grace. John 1:16 reveals: ”And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” Grace is not one aspect of God’s character but His fullness. God’s grace is God-sized. Grace for grace means that God hits you with wave after wave of grace. Like continuous ocean waves there is no end to His grace.

James, one of the most misunderstood writers in the New Testament, had a wonderful grasp of grace. He could’ve been called an apostle of grace, a description generally reserved for Apostle Paul. James spoke of a God who gives and gives, which is a picture of unending grace. James 1:17, Amplified, reads: “Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].”

God gives us exceedingly, great, high, large, loud, and mighty grace!

You are protected in this world and as well as the world to come. Your trust in God is not in vain. You are divinely insulated to handle challenges of the present age. Let us look at Galatians 1:4. It reads: “Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:” You are so valuable that Jesus Himself gave up His life to redeem you. Your sins were wiped away.

The arrows of this world cannot penetrate the shield of God upon you. You cannot be choked and you will not drown. Please assert your believer’s authority and enjoy your studies, relationships, employment, business, marriage, calling and inheritance. I declare success in Jesus’ name.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through knowledge. You are going somewhere.
