Under the tutelage of Mangwiro, Harare City defeated Dynamos 2-1 in the 2015 final which was played at the National Sports Stadium.

Francesco Zekumbawire and William Manondo scored the goals that gave Mangwiro his first success at City.

Two years on, Mangwiro is hoping he can repeat the feat with Triangle.

If successful, it would be a historical achievement for the Lowveld side, but Mangwiro is aware that the task is a tough one as they plunge in with a tough match against Rhinos, who, however, have been struggling with form.

Mangwiro is not reading too much into Rhinos’ recent form and is expecting a bruising battle.

“I am not reading much into the Black Rhinos form. This is a cup game and its full of surprises, we need to be at our best to win the match,’’ he said.

“Rhinos are a good team, we all know that, but I won the trophy with Harare City in 2015, so this time I want to have a go at it again, but firstly we need to beat Black Rhinos and take each game as it comes,’’ he said.

“We are living no stone unturned to win this match. As usual, we are training hard and we are raring to,” he said.

Triangle will be banking on the quality of Lameck Nhamo and Simba Makoni in attack.

When the two teams met in the league, they played out a 1-all stalemate. But cup games are always intriguingly different and surprises cannot be ruled out.
