The court was told that on March 28 this year, the headmistress Rhoda Hamandishe secured her office after knocking off duty and went home. The accused allegedly stormed the premises at midnight on March 29 and cut the perimeter fence.

They went to the administration block, where they allegedly broke the padlock keys and entered the offices and stole various goods including laptops, foodstuff, mobile phones and computers.

On their way, they allegedly met the security guard, Tarisai Maniki, tied his hands together with a neck tie and made him to lie down on his back as they fled with the loot.

They were later arrested after some of the stolen cellphones were recovered in Harare through the mobile phone tracking system.

Only property worth $720 was recovered.
