The two are set to clash at the Southern Africa Music Arts fiesta organised by Y2K Promotions at Bulawayo’s City Hall car park in their second meeting after they first shared the stage at the Glamis Arena in Harare in 2015.

The Jamaican will be joined by South African, Busiswa, who is riding high with Gobisqolo featuring Bhizer, SC Gorna and Bhepepe.

The two-day event will kick off in Bulawayo before going to the capital the following night.

Sandra Ndebele, Mzoe 7, Cal Vin, DJ Mzoe, Judgement Yard, Madlela, DJ Liz, Babongile Sikhonjwa, Killer T, Seh Calaz are some of the local acts that will do duty.

The jamboree will proceed to Harare’s Glamis Arena where the Jamaican will square off with Killer T, Kinnah, Dadza D, Squanda, Souljah Love, Freeman and Takura.

Y2K promotions manager Brian Hazangwi said they were excited about the forthcoming show.

“After hosting the event abroad for the past years, we are excited to be bringing the festival home. The fans, partners and musicians are eager to party. Busy Signal is also excited and has assured his followers that he is definitely coming to party with them again,” he said.

“Since this is our debut Zimbabwean festival we want to do it well and leave a mark.”

Advance tickets are already on sale at $10 and $25 for VIP. In Bulawayo they are being sold at the City Hall, BAC Leisure centre and TOK Sports shop, while in Harare there are available at Zimhost, Exclusive Hair Salon, HKD Shop, Dodos Shop, Bolero Bar in Newlands and Chisipiti.

The festival was launched in 2009 with the aim of promoting musicians from Africa. This year’s United Kingdom edition of the festival was held in April and featured Jah Prayzah, Oliver Mtukudzi and Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave.
