The exhibition, running from July 19 to 21 under the theme, Exploring Linkages in the Mining Value Chain seeks to highlight the potential, opportunities and growth prospects throughout the mining value chain and its related sectors.

“Preparations for Zimbabwe’s largest gathering of influential mining stakeholders, Mine Entra, are progressing well. To date, over 100 exhibitors have confirmed participation by taking up 3 500 square metres of exhibition space,” Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company spokesperson, Stella Nkomo said yesterday.

This year’s exhibition will feature an increased number of knowledge-sharing platforms aimed at improving connections both on and off the exhibition floor, she said.

Nkomo said delegates will have an opportunity to participate in the inaugural Women in Mining Breakfast and Young Professionals Forum. Both events will take place on July 19.

The Women in Mining Breakfast will highlight key successes achieved so far in empowering women in the mining sector, while simultaneously celebrating the women, who are contributing positively towards a more productive and innovative mining industry.

It will run under the theme, Exploring Linkages in the Mining Value Chain: Opportunities for Women.

Later in the day, Mines and Mining Development deputy minister Fred Moyo will lead discussions, as young professionals from the minerals industry, share their experiences and ideas, forge ties with peers and gain exposure necessary for career advancement.

The forum will run under the theme, Opportunities for Young Professionals in the Mining Value Chain.
