There will be entertainment galore at Club Manake in Ruwa tomorrow, as several bands battle for honours to book a ticket to represent Harare province at this year’s edition of the Chibuku Road to Fame competition. The music extravaganza, sponsored by Delta Beverages through the Chibuku brand in conjunction with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, roared into life last weekend in Mashonaland Central. This year’s national finals are set for September 30 at Glamis Arena in Harare.

There will be entertainment galore at Club Manake in Ruwa tomorrow, as several bands battle for honours to book a ticket to represent Harare province at this year’s edition of the Chibuku Road to Fame competition. The music extravaganza, sponsored by Delta Beverages through the Chibuku brand in conjunction with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, roared into life last weekend in Mashonaland Central. This year’s national finals are set for September 30 at Glamis Arena in Harare.

Miss Zimbabwe Trust head office

Organisers of the country’s flagship beauty contest, Miss World Zimbabwe (MWZ), will this evening parade the aspiring finalists, who are vying for the Miss World Zimbabwe 2017 title currently held by Anne-Grace Mutambu, at the sashing ceremony set for their offices in Harare. This year’s grand finale, to be held in honour the late MWZ patron, Kiki Divaris, is scheduled for July 22 at the Borrowdale Brooke Golf Course.

National Gallery of Zimbabwe

Several centres for disadvantaged children, including the Autism Organisation of Zimbabwe, St Giles Care Centre, Jairos Jiri and St Catherine, will this afternoon converge at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe for a fun day, as the gallery continues to celebrate its 60th anniversary. The event falls under the gallery’s corporate social responsibility programme. There will be a series of activities such as drawing and painting session and some that are aligned to bring cultural awareness and creative expression.

City Sports Bar

Energetic dancer, Sandra Ndebele will be in Harare tonight to entertain patrons at City Sports Bar. She will share the stage, with Harare-based popular comedian Apama Style. Ndebele is riding high with her latest singles Tshibilika and Ingoma. Tomorrow the joint hosts a Winter Warmer Party featuring wheel spinners DJ Love King, Brizzy, Stone and MC Andy Kayz.

Dandaro Inn

Dendera music icon, Sulumani Chimbetu tonight shares the stage with Afro-jazz musician, David Hondoyedzomba and his Black Ways Band at Dandaro Inn, Harare showgrounds. The duo has collaborated on a single titled Baba Munenge Rombe.

Longcheng Amusement Park

Minister Michael Mahendere tomorrow headlines the inaugural Winter Worship concert at Longcheng Amusement Park in Harare. Mahendere will share the stage with Wellington Kwenda, Jenifer Maneni, Rumbie Zvirikuzhe and Rindai Worship team.

Jazz 24/7

Rising musician, Pamela “Gonyeti” Zulu, who is riding high with her recently launched six-track album, Madhin’adhin’ali tonight serenades revellers at Jazz 24/7 located at corner Sam Nujoma Street and Robson Manyika Avenue in Harare.

Jah Prayzah and Andy Muridzo will tonight light up Chikomba in Mashonaland East province, as they share the stage at a gig meant to celebrate the life of music promoter, Esau Mupfumi’s mother, Lucy, who died in February.

Popular pole dancer, Zoey Sifelani and her Sexy Angels, tonight take their acts to Umqombothi Sports Bar in Bulawayo. DJ Quinn, Sweeto and Sheriff Phibz will be rocking it on the decks.
