A 42-YEAR-OLD woman, who is believed to be in an adulterous relationship with LEAD International Ministries pastor, Lovejoy Tirivepi has been arrested on allegations of conspiring to kill her married lover’s wife.

Judith Makwara was remanded in custody to May 22 by Harare magistrate, Barbara Chimboza, who advised her to apply for bail at the High Court.
The complainant is the pastor’s wife Charity Rufaro Muzorewa.
It is the State’s case that on April 14 this year at around 11am Muzorewa received a call from Clover Musariri, who informed her that he was assigned by Makwara the previous day to kill her and was promised $2 000 for the assignment.
It is alleged Musariri then informed Muzorewa that he had refused to carry out the assignment and wanted to meet her, but Muzorewa was allegedly afraid to meet him. Muzorewa made a police report in connection with the information she had received.
Muzorewa alleges that she became aware that Makwara was having an adulterous affair with her husband, Tirivepi and believes this to be the motive behind the murder plot.
Muzorewa further alleges that Makwara had access and keys to her and her husband’s second home and she is in possession of her motor vehicle and a bus, which she claimed they share with her husband.

The State alleges Muzorewa fears for her life and, with the murder plot having failed, she is afraid Makwara would look for other hit men to kill her.
It is alleged on April 20, Musariri recorded a warned and cautioned statement confirming the incident.
