Festival coordinator, Natalie Kombe, told NewsDay yesterday that interested artists should fill in an application form that can be downloaded from the festival’s website.

“We are calling for artists who are interested to participate at this year’s edition of Shoko Festival to register for participation,” she said, adding that more information was available on their website at www.shokofestival.co.zw.

“Applications will be closing end of May. Regarding our call for artists, it is important for them to send links of their work with the applications.”

She said a lot of surprises are in store for the festival-goers.

“We always try to improve on the previous year. We have many ideas that we want to achieve at this year’s edition, so people can look forward to some new additions,” Kombe said.

“Our motto is Onwards and Upwards. We have a dedicated team, who believe in the importance of festivals such as Shoko, so we always do our best to ensure that the show must go on.”

Shoko Festival is attesting to be one of the country’s fastest-growing international festivals and has established itself as a major event on the country’s annual arts calendar.
