Malinga was secretary for external affairs and his position has been filled by Tourism deputy minister Anastancia Ndlovu.

Youth leader Kudzanai Chipanga told NewsDay yesterday that there was no contestation on the elevation of the members, something which he said was vital to form a solidified force in support of Mugabe’s candidature next year.

“We are mandated by the party to co-opt into positions members of our executive. In this case we didn’t take anyone from outside, but we elevated from within. There was no contestation, a sign that we are united and ready to support President Robert Mugabe’s candidature. We are happy that there were no objections,” Chipanga said.

The Makoni West legislator said they would go beyond the one-million-man-march this year and invite the President to the provinces beginning mid-year.
