Organised by music promotions company, 2 Kings Entertainment, that tour kicked off in Gweru, before heading for Caravan Park in Zvishavane and will this Friday invade Masvingo before heading to Pagomba Café in Beitbridge on Saturday.

An official with 2 Kings Entertainment, Terminator Makoni, told NewsDay that they would release details on the next cities and towns, as well as the dates as they reached out to Gafa fans in every part of the country.

“We want to reach out to every fan of Winky D and those of 2 Kings. We are giving back the love and support they gave us last year, which resulted in us being awarded Outstanding Promoter of the Year at the NAMAs (National Arts Merit Awards),” he said.

“We are just getting started. This year it’s all about good energy and reaching out to every corner in the country. We haven’t reached halfway of the tour. More dates and cities will be announced.”

Makoni said the most sought-after dancehall chanter would take his tour to Chinhoyi on March 24, before trekking to Bindura the following day.

Kwekwe will host the Gafa President on April 8, before Bulawayo on April 29.

2 Kings Entertainment were behind shows of international artistes such as Chris Martin and Morgan Heritage, among others in the country, were named outstanding promoter of the year at the recently held NAMA awards, while Winky D bagged the Outstanding Album award with Gafa Futi and People’s Choice Award.

Winky D is reputed for producing music that speaks to ordinary people’s struggles in the ghetto and has devoted his music to poor people’s trials and tribulations and their pursuit of happiness.
