While some artistes are still on holiday, the likes of raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda, reggae band, Transit Crew, dancehall singer Killer T and Mbira DzeNharira will be out to entertain their fans at different joints.
Reggae outfit Transit Crew tonight takes its acts to Pariah State in Avondale featuring J Farai, Solomon Tok AKA Rootsman Spice from South Africa and Pablo Nakappa, Winky D’s former bassist.
Takarangana Night Club
Famous dancer, Beverly Sibanda dates Andy Muridzo, as they share the stage at Takarangana Night Club in Hatcliffe. The duo are doing well in their separate careers charming both local fans and music promoters, which has seen them globetrotting and honing their skills.
Agga, the son of the veteran jazz musician, Bob Nyabinde, tonight shares the stage with Kuda Pikani, as they take turns to entertain revellers at Jazz 24/7, located at corner Sam Nujoma Street and Robson Manyika Avenue in Harare. Tomorrow, the joint hosts one of the finest mbira groups in the country, Mbira DzeNharira.
The son of the late legendary dendera maestro, Naison Chimbetu, Tryson, tomorrow serenades revellers at Club Veritas in Westlea backed by his Marxist Brothers band. The club’s resident DJ, T-Nashy, will be rocking it on the turntables.
Dancehall music prodigy
Killer T, who has continued to ride the crest of a wave in his career, tonight serenades merrymakers at Channel Zero in Budiriro alongside Charlie B, Major Frost, L Trix and Donny, who will be rocking it on the turntables.
Club Mandisa, Mutare
Sensational rhumba songbird, Lyn Magodo, popularly known as Lady Storm on the showbiz circuit, will be in Mutare this weekend with her Swagga Band for a double dance thriller at Club Mandisa, where she will be supported by Mandisa Kings and Queens
Alliance Française, Bulawayo
Film fanatics will be in for a treat as Alliance Française Bulawayo tonight hosts the first screening of the year, which is free of charge. They will be showing the movie Camille Redouble.
Club Connect, Bulawayo
The night spot, situated at Cecil Hotel, tonight hosts the Friday Party that will see several top wheel spinners, among them DJs Mzoe, Prince Eskhosini and Noma That Girl, taking turns to rock it on the turntables entertaining merrymakers.
Patrons, who will grace Cecil Hotel tonight also have options of visiting Bulawayo’s first strip-tease joint, Private Lounge, which is also housed at the hotel.
Khumalo Hockey Stadium
The newly-opened joint, situated at the hockey stadium, tomorrow hosts the Smirnoff Vodka Night with DJs Emity Smooth and DJ Rexx.
Patrons will be treated to a number of Smirnoff surprises and promotions that include reduced beverage costs, as buying two shots will get the revellers one for free, courtesy of the club’s management.
The Groove Night Club
Tonight, the club hosts the usual Friday Night Party with resident wheel spinner, DJ Dash, who is famed for spinning hot local and international tunes.
On Sunday, DJ Keitho takes over the reins with the Afro beat invasion.
Mqombothi Sports Bar
The joint located in the high-density suburb of Nkulumane on Sunday hosts the Dirty All Star party, featuring DJ Nopsa and Bongz Deeper and the emcee of the day will be DJ Mzoe.
Patrons are expected to come wearing dirty All Star sneakers, a fashion trend popular in South Africa, where one wears dirty All Star sneakers, but clean clothes.
