The Handina Mhaka singer yesterday said its high time he releases a video album, as he has been pressurised by his legion of fans around the country.

“After a long time without releasing videos we had to give in to pressure from our fans, who, through fan clubs and social media platforms, were begging us to drop more videos,” Shumba said.

“The fans have spoken and we do not have to starve them. We have done videos for four songs already,” he said, adding that they had so far done videos for the songs Mapisarema, Step by Step, Zvapera and Hama.

The project is being handled by Kunashe Studios in Mutare.

Shumba last released a DVD album in 2010 off the album Ishe Wazvose for the songs Vana Sesu, Kurwa Kwakanaka, Handina Mhaka, Varombo, Ndangariro and Zita.

The musician rose to stardom after the release of his debut album Ishe Wazvose in 2009. He became a force to reckon with on the local showbiz circuit in 2011 after his song Mufaro from the award-winning album NdiMwari came second in the Radio Zimbabwe Coca-Cola Pimp Up and Ride Top 50.
