This year’s edition of the beauty pageant will have a bevy of 15 beauties drawn from different parts of the province such as Mt Darwin, Shamva and Mazowe, cat-walking for the crown.

The pageant’s chairman, Ceasar Kufandiko, yesterday told NewsDay that all was in place for the big day.

“I am thankful to the sponsors for recognising that we can do something for the society and came on board to support the pageant as a way of empowering the girl child. Apart from the modelling extravaganza, dancehall president, Winky D will entertain guests at the ninth edition of the pageant,” he said.

“This year’s edition of the pageant will be different from the previous ones, as we took our time to bring out an interesting event.”

Kufandiko said the winning contestants will walk away with monetary prizes and hampers courtesy of milling companies Canterbury and Pawas together with Maflambo Investment.

Guests will be in for a treat as the Ninja president Winky D, who is currently riding high with his latest album Gafa Futi Chi Extraterrestrial, has a record of mesmerising guests at his live shows that has seen him regarded as the best in his genre.
