Sulu, who is set to tie the knot with Linda Samuriwo, was asked to step forward from the congregation together with his wife. The couple has been customarily married for the past seven years.

In a nine-minute 13 seconds video posted on YouTube, Branson told the dendera musician that his wedding was going to be “so big” that it would be the talk of town.

Branson said he was going to release “a strange anointing”.

“My nephew is here. He is wedding on December 3. It is going to be a big one and if you do not have an invite, it is because you have not been invited,” Branson said, much to the delight of congregates.

“They came and said we want to celebrate with you. This is uncle and nephew. So sometimes, you need strange anointing. I want us to stretch our hands and bless their weeding and album launch. This wedding is going to be the talk of the town. It is going to be the best wedding ever. It is going to be a great wedding.”

After the congregation had prayed for Sulu and his wife, the musician was invited to the stage, where he was joined by a member of the church’s praise and worship team for a song.

He then took the church through his popular chubwi dance.

Sulu’s publicist, Joe “Local” Nyamungoma, told NewsDay yesterday that the Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman was a believer and often took time off his busy work schedule to attend church services.

“We might be in the showbiz industry, but when we have no busy schedules, Sulu and his wife take time to fellowship,” he said.

The wedding package will include a double album launch, Nyangoma said, before urging fans to come for the launch in their numbers.

“The wait is finally over, as we will be launching our two albums this Saturday (tomorrow) at Belgravia Sports Club. We are calling on our fans to come in their numbers and join us in celebrating this special day in our dendera camp,” he said.
