Musona’s club KV Oostende thrashed Genk 6-0 to maintain their second spot on the league table, as they also cut leaders Zulte Waregem’s advantage to just two points, as the season reached the halfway stage.

The former Kaizer Chiefs forward, who trails leading goalscorer Lukasz Teodorczyk of Anderlecht by four goals, scored KV Oostende’s third goal, before he was substituted.

Musona will be hoping for his first league title in Belgium after a good start to their campaign this term.

They have so far managed nine wins and four draws, and lost three matches.

Oostende face tougher prospects ahead, with Club Brugge, Gent and Sporting Charleroi all just one point behind.

Their next match is away to Club Brugge at the weekend.

While Musona is enjoying his game in Belgium, Warriors star, Khama Billiat, is sidelined through injury.

Billiat, who has only made two league appearances for his club this season, was absent as Sundowns hammered Tapuwa Kapini’s Highlands Park 5-0 on Sunday.

The Caf African Footballer of the Year (based in Africa) nominee last featured for the South African champions on November 2 in the match against Polokwane City, where he scored after coming on as a substitute.

He has missed three league matches since then.
