An upcoming conceptual artiste from Chinhoyi University of Technology, Brian Madhinha, says he is determined to share with the world the beauty of storytelling and myth through art.

Madhinha, who recently held a three-day exhibition at Nihao Cultural Centre in Harare dubbed In My Time as part of his fulfilment of his Bachelor of Science in Creative Art and Design degree programme, said through his artwork, he aims to encourage critical thinking, while looking at the magnificence of what human beings have achieved at societal level.

“Through my work, I try to highlight the events of my time, sociocultural issues aiming to encourage critical thinking and furthermore looking at the beauty of what human beings have achieved at societal level,” he said.

Madhinha showcased various artworks, which consisted of photography, paintings, illustration, fashion design, graphic design, drawing and 3D artworks and 21st Century family dinner table installation tilted Its Over.

The Tshabalala-bred artist said his art journey, which he started as writer, was mainly inspired by what he saw and heard leading him to enrol for the degree programme to compliment his talent.
