Their rivals, Buffaloes were held to a one-all draw by Tenax at Sakubva Stadium.

Both Buffaloes and Yadah FC ended the season with 67 points, but the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries-financed side were winners because of a superior goal difference.

Chaos rocked Sakubva Stadium, as news filtered through that Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Mutare City had been relegated.

There will be no top-flight football in Mutare next year and football fans vented their anger on Tenax players for frustrating Buffaloes.

Disappointed Buffaloes executive, Ticha Zikai said they will fight next time.

“It’s a difficult pill to swallow, they (Yadah FC) have more goals than us, we are going to fight next time,” he said.

“Our players were under pressure especially in the second half and we missed many chances,”.

Yadah won the championship in only their first year in the second-tier league and will clash with three champions from the other regions for two places in the elite league.
