Mujuru will be in Bulawayo on Sunday to address ZimPF’s youth and women structures – two critical structures expected to bring the core of the party’s supporters.
ZimPF interim chairperson for information and publicity committee, Methuseli Moyo told Southern Eye it will be foolhardy for the party to ignore the youth and women’s constituencies that form the backbone of any formation, especially now when elections beckon.
“These are very important constituencies of the party,” he said yesterday.
“They are the wings that will fly ZimPF, and, therefore, deserve special attention by the leadership of the party.”
Moyo added: “Mujuru will be in Bulawayo to address our youth and women’s wings, at separate rallies. It is the youths and women, who organised the rallies and requested the president to address them on issues of interest.
“Our teams are busy on the ground mobilising support for the rallies. We are looking forward to successful rallies this coming weekend.”

Mujuru comes to Bulawayo weeks after a number of junior and top People’s Democratic Party (PDP) officials crossed the floor to ZimPF, citing frustration with Tendai Biti’s party.
But PDP has accused ZimPF of using dirty tactics to lure its members, including its deputy president, Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, an allegation the latter denied.
