Trump stunned the world including the Americans after being elected the first non-politically-connected 45th president elect in a crucial election, defeating favourite and former secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In one of the longest election campaign in the history of American polls which ran for 600 days, Trump polled 275 votes to win the presidency after the Republican took control of crucial swing states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio.

Contrary to his perceived character which he displayed during the campaigns, Trump preached peace when he gave his acceptance speech and pledged to reunite the Americans.

“I will be president of all Americans. I want those who opposed us to come and work with us as we rebuild our great nation. My government want to serve its people and pledged to embark on a project of national growth to make America one of the strongest economy in the world. He pledged to work with other countries as well as he seeks to pursue partnerships and not conflict.

Trump’s acceptance speech comes at a time when he stepped up his personal attacks on Clinton last week on Saturday night, telling supporters in Pennsylvania that Clinton “should be in prison” over her use of a private email server while secretary of state.

Trump made the apparently unscripted statement as chants of “Lock her up!” rang out at the rally in Manheim, Pa. Trump himself has avoided using such language in the past. But this time, he joined in.

The real estate mogul also made an apparent reference to former President Bill Clinton’s sexual indiscretions, saying that Hillary Clinton’s “only loyalty is to her financial contributors and to herself.”

In a surprise move at a time when Clinton’s supporters were urged to go home on Tuesday night, the former state secretary called Trump to concede defeat as well as to congratulate him for winning the elections

Trump cruised to an early lead as the Republicans reclaimed crucial states they lost to the out-going president Barack Obama.

The Republican took the key swing states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio early this morning, as he marched towards the White House.

Trump’s rise to power began in May when he shocked the veteran Republican politicians to emerge as the presidential candidate during the primary polls.

His rise is a history-making event that will change American politics and the Republican Party. To his new league of supporters, Trump is the tribune of voters who have been failed by politicians, by immigration policies that undermine the nation’s identity, by trade deals that have sent American jobs to other countries and by political elites who do not understand or care about their problems.
