The suspects were not asked to plead, when they were arraigned before magistrate, Victoria Mashamba, who remanded them to November 22 for trial.

According to the State, on October 13 this year, the complainant, Charles Chisakuro Kapfupi, received a radio communication and rushed to his head office at Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale.

Upon arrival, it is alleged, Kapfupi saw the suspects demonstrating, threatening to kill anyone who dared go near them.

The guards are said to have been incensed by the punishment that was meted on a colleague, Edwin Madziro, who had been ordered to carry a large concrete block on his head from Avondale to Borrowdale after being found eating lunch whilst sitting on the block.

Lovemore Siyamunda appeared for the State.
