Relegation-haunted Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Tsholotsho have warned they pose danger to Highlanders’ quest to clinch the championship ahead of the two teams’ clash at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.

Tsholotsho have a tough battle ahead of them to ensure survival in the top-flight league, sitting two points from safety.
Coach Lizwe Sweswe yesterday said Highlanders should not be fooled by Tsholotsho’s league position.
“They (Highlanders) can only look complacently at our lowly position at their own peril,” he said. “We are now at a stage where football is most exciting both psychologically and physically. On Saturday, it is one team that wants to survive and the other that wants to be champions. We want to survive and we are not looking at how Mutare City or Chapungu will play.”
The Bulawayo-based side will be looking to swap positions with Mutare City Rovers, who sit above them, but the relegation dog-fight could also suck in Chapungu, who are eight points ahead of Tsholotsho.
They picked four points from their last two matches, with a draw at Ngezi and a home win against Chapungu.
Sweswe said he was confident Tsholotsho would remain afloat, but admitted a defeat on Saturday could spell disaster.

“We are fighting our own battle and we know that if we win all our three remaining games, we will survive and what Highlanders should know is that the last kicks of a dying horse are very dangerous. Morale is high in camp despite the strike. We are busy at training preparing for that crunch tie.”
In the run-up to this match, Tsholotsho players staged a strike demanding their overdue allowances.
After Highlanders, Tsholotsho play their last two matches, first at home against Bulawayo City, before finishing off the season against title aspirants FC Platinum.
After their Sunday match against Dynamos, Mutare City Rovers will play Harare City at home before they travel to Mhondoro for a date with Ngezi Platinum. Chapungu, who host title aspirants FC Platinum on Saturday, are also not yet safe from the chop and will be looking to seal their place in the top-flight with a win against Norman Mapeza’s men.
After Platinum, the airmen travel to Hwange before their last match against log leaders Caps United at Ascot Stadium.
