Concert organiser, Minky Walters, of Sound Event Management, said the award-winning Toya Delazy will arrive at the airport at 12pm aboard an Ethiopian Airways flight.

“Toya Delazy failed to arrive yesterday due to flight delays, as she is coming from Zanzibar in Tanzania. But we want to assure Zimbabweans that she will definitely be arriving in the country with her band tomorrow (today) midday,” he said.

She will be staging her third performance in Zimbabwe as part of her Rocking the City tour of African cities, which will see her performing 20 shows in seven countries over seven weeks.

The Pump It On hitmaker will be supported by an array of top local acts, among them Amara Brown, Hip Hop dancers, Tamy, AlkaNemo, Dice and Probeatz.

The 26-year-old Toya Delazy’s music, which is a fusion of several genres including hip hop, soul and jazz, saw her rise to fame in 2011, after the release of her single Pump It On, before releasing her debut album Due Drop Deluxe the following year.

In the same year, she scooped the Best Pop Album (Due Drop Deluxe) and the Newcomer of the Year awards at the ninth edition of the Annual MTN South African Music Awards.
