A last minute spectacular goal by ZPC Kariba striker, Talent Chawapihwa saved a precious point for Sunday Chidzambwa’s side, while it left Hwange a frustrated lot in their Castle lager Premier Soccer League match played at the Colliery Stadium yesterday.

Chawapihwa outran Chipangano veteran defender, Andrew Chuma to collect the ball before releasing a scorcher that beat Future Sibanda in goals for the home side.
Hwange took the lead in the 70th minute after Pritchard Mpelele, who had benefitted from a Gilbert Zulu pass, blasted past goalie, Takabva Mawaya. ZPC Kariba tried to make a comeback after conceding, but could not breach the home side’s defence.
Gift Mbweti could have scored the assurance goal for his side, but he shot tamely for Tafadzwa Mawaya to collect comfortably.
Chidzambwa made a double substitution in the dying minutes, recalling Osborn Mukuradare and Never Tigere for Takudzwa Mahori and Godknows Mangani. The move worked in the visitors’ favour, as they intensified pressure on Chipangano. Chidzambwa rued missed opportunities after the match.
“The game was evenly and balanced, however, we missed a few chances that came our way but when we made changes that is when we started playing our normal game,” he said.
