Toto Banda opened the scoring 10 minutes after the break before substitute Godfrey Nguwodzawo got the insurance goal on 80 minutes to give How Mine only their seventh win of the campaign.

The gold miners, who lost to FC Platinum, Tsholotsho and Highlanders in their last three outings, moved to position 10 on the log table with 31 points, overtaking Chapungu, who lost 0-2 to Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab on Wednesday, and Bulawayo City, who fell 1-0 to Triangle at Barbourfields Stadium on the same day.

Hwange, who have picked just one win from their last six matches, sit two places above the relegation zone with a 10-point cushion between them and Tsholotsho on position 15 on the log table.
