Seh Calaz’s publicist, George Damson, said it was unfortunate that relations between the two musicians had broken down.

“Calaz has done his part to keep the friendship alive, but we cannot force a donkey to swim. The song Sauro was dedicated to him (Soul Jah Love) as an offer of friendship where we vowed to commiserate with him in tough times,” he said.

“He did not give a formal excuse as to why he did not attend. Why would all the other artistes come without a problem yet he wants to be worshipped?”

Damson said it was ridiculous for Soul Jah Love to demand payment to perform at the event yet Seh Calaz had always performed for free at his birthday bashes.

Soul Jah Love, however, refuted the allegations and said he had nothing much to say regarding the matter.

“Only God knows because, as far as I know, I was never called and told I was supposed to perform. I never received any tickets,” he said.
