Kansiime is returning to Zimbabwe for the second time after staging two sold-out shows last year at 7 Arts Theatre in Harare, alongside her partner Cotilda Inapo, while Baba Tencen, as Pepukai Zvemhari is popularly known, is making his debut local stage performance after gaining popularity courtesy of his skits shown on social media.

Xtra Time Entertainment’s spokesperson, Tonderai Mwaita, yesterday told NewsDay that Kansiime will land at the Harare International Airport at 1530 hours aboard Kenya Airways, while Baba Tencen will touch down at 9pm aboard an Air Zimbabwe flight.

“All is set for the show. We are just honouring requests from the fans to bring the duo that is doing well in their separate careers,” he said.

“We are urging fans to come in their numbers for the concert. Tickets for the show are selling from Reflections Gift Shop branches in Avondale, Sam Levy’s Village and ZB Life Towers in the city centre via swipe, cash or transfer via EcoCash.”

The Chivhu-bred Baba Tencen, who is widely known with his Kuripwa Kugara video clips laden with humour, is not a push over on the comedy scene that has seen him clinching lucrative endorsement deals in South Africa and amassing thousands of followers on Facebook.

Kansiime and Baba Tencen will share the stage with local comedian, Q Dube, and versatile beat boxer Takudzwa Mashonganyika, popularly known as Probeatz.

The hilarious Kansiime last year put up a thrilling performance that left the audience yearning for more with her rib-cracking jests before a packed auditorium whose audience included former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono, Chikanga-Dangamvura MP Esau Mupfumi and former War Veterans minister Christopher Mutsvangwa and wife Monica.
